There is a moment before anybody buys anything from you where they are deciding whether you are a real business. Not whether the price is right, or whether they need the thing — just whether you are serious, whether you will still exist next year, and whether handing you money is safe.

Most Zimbabwean SMEs lose more deals at that moment than at the price conversation.

A brand film exists to clear that hurdle.

What it is

Thirty to sixty seconds about what the business is, who it is for, and why it works the way it does. Not a list of services. Not a founder reading a mission statement. A short piece of film that makes a stranger think these people know what they are doing before they have spoken to you.

Where it earns its money

Unlike a product spot, a brand film does not go stale in a month:

  • On your homepage, where it does the credibility work that a paragraph cannot
  • At the top of a pitch or a tender, before anybody has decided how seriously to take you
  • Behind you at an expo or a trade show, running silently on a screen all day
  • In your WhatsApp Business profile, where it answers “who are you” once, for everybody
  • As the anchor of a launch, with shorter cutdowns pulled from it for the feed

That reuse is why it is quoted per project rather than per ad. You are not buying a campaign asset, you are buying something you will use for a year.

How a hybrid brand film gets made

We start with what you already have: photographs, product shots, any footage of the premises or the team, and a conversation about what the business is actually for. That real material anchors the film — it is the part a viewer recognises as true.

Around it we build. Where a scene would need a location, a crew and a day you cannot justify, we construct it instead, lit and graded to sit seamlessly with your own footage. Where a short pickup shot would be decisively better, we say so.

The whole thing is then scripted, narrated, scored and graded as one piece, so it reads as a film rather than as a collage.

The one rule we hold

We will not generate a scene and present it as your real premises, your real staff or your real customers. If a viewer would reasonably take a shot as documentary evidence of your business, it has to be documentary.

That restraint is the entire reason the credible version works. A brand film exists to make people trust you, and a film that overstates does the precise opposite the moment anyone visits.

What you get

  • A 30 to 60 second film, scripted, narrated, scored and graded
  • Landscape 16:9 as the master, with a vertical cutdown for social
  • Your own footage and photographs woven in wherever they strengthen it
  • Still frames pulled from the film for print, posters and profile images
  • Revisions to sign-off rather than a fixed count
  • Three to five days rather than 48 hours, because the writing takes longer than the build

When you do not need one

If you are a shop that needs to move stock this weekend, this is the wrong purchase. Buy a $40 spot and spend the difference on reach. A brand film is for businesses that have stopped competing on price and started competing on trust.

Common questions
How is this different from a normal advert?
An advert asks for a purchase. A brand film asks for belief. It runs on your homepage, at the top of a pitch, behind you at an expo, and it works over months rather than for one campaign.
Do you need to film my staff and premises?
Not necessarily, but they help enormously. If you have footage or good photographs of your team and your building, that material is usually the most convincing part of the film. A short pickup shot is also an option where it earns its place. What we will not do is generate a scene and pass it off as your real premises.
How long should it be?
Between 30 and 60 seconds for most Zimbabwean SMEs. Past a minute you need a genuinely good story and a reason for someone to keep watching.
Can we use it for investors or tenders?
That is one of the better uses. A company that looks established on screen clears a credibility hurdle before the conversation starts.
What does it cost?
It is quoted per project because scope varies more than a product spot does. It usually starts around $100 and depends on length and how many cutdowns you need.
