Video Ad Production in Zimbabwe
The core service. One photo or clip in, one finished advert out, 48 hours later.
Most Zimbabwean businesses that want an advert run into the same wall. A production company quotes for a shoot day, and that day is where the money goes: crew, camera hire, location, permits, travel, waiting. The advert itself is a small part of the bill. For an SME turning over a few thousand a month the maths does not work, so the advert never gets made and the business keeps posting phone photos.
We did not remove production. We removed the assumption that every advert needs a full crewed day before anyone has decided what the ad should even say.
How it works
You send a photograph on WhatsApp: one clear shot of the product, the premises, or the thing you want people to notice. Or you send footage you already have. You tell us in a sentence what the advert has to do: sell a specific product, announce an opening, push a seasonal offer, make people take the business seriously.
Then we pick the right tool for that brief. Sometimes your own footage carries the ad and we cut and grade around it. Sometimes a small planned pickup shot is worth it. Often the strongest version is a world we build around your product, lit the way a studio would light it. Usually it is a mix.
Either way we write the script, record the voiceover, cut it to music and grade it. Forty-eight hours later a finished file lands back in the same WhatsApp thread, in the aspect ratio you need.
What you get
- A finished advert up to 30 seconds, longer on the higher tiers
- Vertical 9:16, landscape 16:9, or both depending on the tier
- Script, voiceover, music and colour grade included, never billed separately
- Your own footage cut in wherever it strengthens the ad
- Revisions included: one round on a single spot, two on a campaign set
- Delivery as a file you own outright and can run anywhere
What it costs
A single spot is $40. A campaign set of four ads built to rotate against each other is $100, which works out at $25 an ad. Launch packages and monthly retainers are quoted per project.
Payment is 50% to begin and the balance on approval, by EcoCash. No retainer is needed to start and there is no minimum term. What you will not find on the invoice is a production day you did not need. If the brief genuinely calls for a camera, we say so and quote it openly rather than burying it.
When this is the right service, and when it is not
This is the right service if you sell something you can photograph, you have footage sitting on a phone doing nothing, or you need creative that looks credible next to national brands without five figures to find out whether video works for you.
It is the wrong service if you need a full production: a multi-day shoot, a cast, a crew on location, an event covered live. That is a different discipline with a different cost base, and we will tell you so rather than quote for something we are not the right studio to deliver.
What sits comfortably in between is the useful part: a small pickup shot, your existing clips, or a built world, chosen by what the ad actually needs.
Start small and find out
The honest recommendation for a business that has never run video is a single spot. Forty dollars is a small enough number to be an experiment rather than a decision. Run it, watch what it does to your enquiries for a fortnight, and then decide whether a campaign set is worth it.
Businesses that come back tend to come back because the first ad worked, not because they were talked into a package.
- What do you actually need from me to start?
- One clear photo of the product or premises, or a clip you already have, and a sentence on what the ad has to do. That is genuinely it. If you have a logo and brand colours we will use them, but we can work without.
- Why is it so much cheaper than a normal production company?
- Because production is built around the brief. A conventional advert bills you for crew, camera hire, location, permits, travel, catering and a full production day whether the ad needed them or not. We use real footage when it helps and generated worlds when they win, so none of those lines appear unless they genuinely improve the ad.
- Does it actually look like a real advert?
- Judge it yourself rather than taking our word for it. Every ad on our work page is a delivered file you can play. If the quality does not hold up on your screen, it will not hold up in a feed either.
- What if I do not like the first version?
- Every tier includes revisions. A single spot includes one round, a campaign set includes two, and launch packages run to sign-off rather than a fixed count.
- Can I use the ad on TV as well as social?
- Yes. We deliver 16:9 for broadcast and YouTube and 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and WhatsApp Status. Most tiers include both formats.
- How do I pay?
- EcoCash. 50% to begin, balance on approval. Prices are quoted in USD.
No call required. Send one clear photo and a line about what the ad has to do, and we come back inside 48 hours.
