Restaurant and Food Video Advertising in Zimbabwe

Food sells on appetite, and appetite is made with light. Phone photos under a shop bulb do the opposite.

Food is the hardest thing to photograph badly and still sell, and it is the thing most often photographed badly. Overhead fluorescent light flattens texture, kills steam and turns a good plate grey.

Appetite is manufactured almost entirely with light — the highlight on a sauce, the condensation on a cold bottle, the char on a grill. That is what we rebuild.

For restaurants and takeaways

The buying decision is made quickly, close to mealtime, usually on a phone. That argues for short, vertical, and one dish at a time. A menu board does not work as an advert.

Run it when people are deciding, not at ten in the morning. WhatsApp Status is unusually effective here because it reaches people who are not scrolling a feed at all.

For food producers and agri-processing

Different job. Here the buyer is judging consistency, hygiene and whether you can supply reliably — the product has to look appetising and the process has to look controlled. Packaging and label detail carries more weight than plating.

What we need

One clear photo of the dish or the product, shot in daylight if at all possible. Near a window beats under a ceiling light every time. If the packaging matters, send a second close shot of it.

What you get

  • 15 to 30 second food spot, built vertical for feed and Status
  • 16:9 as well on the campaign tiers
  • Price and offer on screen where relevant
  • Music, voiceover and grade included
  • 48 hours, from $40

The one rule

We will make your food look as good as it can honestly look. We will not make it look like food you do not serve. In a city where reputation travels by word of mouth faster than any advert, that restraint is worth more than the extra gloss.

Common questions
Do you need the actual dish?
A clear photo of it, yes. We build from your real dish rather than a generic one, because customers will order it and compare.
Can you make the food look better than it is?
Better lit, yes. Different, no. If someone orders on the strength of an advert and gets something else, you have bought a complaint.
What works best for a takeaway?
Vertical, 15 seconds, one dish, price on screen, and a deadline if there is an offer. Run it on Facebook and WhatsApp Status on the day people are deciding what to eat.
We are a food producer, not a restaurant. Same thing?
Similar. The emphasis moves from appetite to quality and consistency, and the packaging matters more than the plate.
